Best described as a 'one-stop shop' whereby we take care of the complete package for the client. This may include identifying and / or acquiring the ground, handling the planning process, negotiating with sub-contractors, neighbours, tenants etc and means the client only has to deal with a personal contact within the MM Miller organisation.
A recent successful example was the Telford Street Redevelopment in Lower Pulteney which involved a fusion of traditional stone building renovation and new build to provide low-cost homes for Pentland Housing Association tenants. This was an award-winning project, receiving a Mention in the 2005 Civic Trust Awards.
The Harrowhill Development, again in Wick and also on behalf of Pentland Housing Association, occupies the site of the former Caithness Glass factory and is another example of a proven successful Design and Build approach which we hope to develop with other partners in other areas.
