MM Miller has developed an excellent reputation over the last 40 years for innovative practice, on-time completion and tight budgetary control. With our own highly-skilled joiners and bricklayers accompanied by solid support teams, the company has made a smooth transition from its early concentration on local authority housing, school construction and one-off bungalows to some of the most significant private, public and commercial buildings erected in the Highlands in recent years.
On the Dounreay site alone, we have refurbished laboratories and the Training Centre, built the PFR Effluent Treatment Plant, and carried out all building and joinery work on the prestigious D2003 office block. We have also refurbished roofs of varying sizes and heights with Liquid Plastic system coatings. Successfully working on this site is evidence of our capabilities in working to extremely high levels of documentation, Health and Safety and to stringent construction parameters.
Elsewhere, high profile projects have included a cinema complex, a college outreach facility and the £1M development units at Wick and Golspie Business Parks for Highlands and Islands Enterprise. Recently added to the MM Miller extensive portfolio of quality construction is the new Passenger Terminal Building at Scrabster, joining a long list from a combined day care and medical centre in Kinlochbervie to school projects in Balloch and Ardgay.
Renovations, whether to Local Authority or Housing Association properties, have seen us liaising with occupiers in sometimes difficult circumstances.
